The Newborn Experience
However, with this last baby you better believe he will be sick of all the pictures by the time he's one.
Here at ANE Photography, I make the newborn experience as easy as 1, 2, 3! All you have to decide is that you actually want a newborn session and I'll handle the rest. I provide all the wraps, outfits, and props needed to make your session the one you've always dreamed of. With extensive care to baby safety, your baby will be in good hands from start to finish while you relax in my new in home studio.

Newborn sessions are typically scheduled when baby is still in belly. This gives us the opportunity to go over color schemes or themes you want incorporated into your session. However, if baby is already here, no worries as long as you can bring them in before they are three weeks old, we can still accomplish capturing their chunky cheeks and small toes.

1. Say Hello
Once you decide to book, we will set a tentative date around your due date. After the baby is born and you've notified your friends and family, I'm usually next on the list of those notified. From there, we set an actual date and time and patiently wait for that day to arrive.
Typically, the best timeframe to schedule your newborn session is between 7-14 days new. The main reason is after they are three weeks old some babies start developing baby acne and have longer awake periods.
Although it is possible to photograph older babies, expectations of what can and can't be done are different.
2. Schedule it
Apart from the session itself, this is probably my second favorite. This is where I incorporate special themes or color schemes that go well with your home decor. The more time I have, the more customizable your session can be. Want to include a family heirloom? Sure, no problem! Just send me a picture so I can visualize in what setup to include it in. Have inspo pictures? Please include that in your questionnaire so I can try my best to have those ready when you come.
3. Planning it
Once your session date is here, expect to be in the studio for at least 2.5 hours. However, before I scare you off with how long it takes, please note that every session is baby led which means that if baby needs to feed, be cuddled, or is just having an off day (as many do due to being new to this world), we will stop to take care of their needs. Therefore, I will not be photographing them the whole time but rather taking our time to ensure the comfort and safety of your child.
The best part is you get to relax while I take care of your baby! Now, how does 2.5 hours seem? Fantastic right?
4. Your Session
Approximately two weeks after your session, you'll come back into the studio for your viewing and ordering session. There you'll get to see all your images beautifully edited and ready to be purchased. You can choose between my Mini Collection or my Create Your Own Collection.
My most popular is the Create Your Own Collection because it allows you to keep all the digital images I end up editing.

5. Your Photographs

To secure your date, a non-refundable session fee of $150.00 is due upon booking.
This does not include any digital images.
Digital images and printed artwork are purchased at the viewing and ordering session approximately two weeks after your session.
The Investment Details
I never had the chance to take processional pictures taken but being able to have my maternity, new born, and family pictures with ANE Photography was truly a blessing and such a heartwarming experience for me and my family! Carmen is very professional and such a great, charismatic, and joyful photographer. Having a toddler trying to take picture is very stressful at times but yet working with them it brought out his little personality! Definitely recommend and will be going with ANE Photography for my future family and kid pictures!

My newborn was very fussy during the photoshoot and Alejandra was very understanding and even helped me soothe my newborn.
