Time to freshen up your family portraits? No problem, it's included in this session. Best part, baby will end with a mini splash session where they can splash until their legs can't anymore. The bonus is that they'll get all cleaned up while having fun!

The Cake Smash Experience
Although I typically photograph a baby's first birthday milestone, there is no reason not to celebrate those that are older. Afterall, a birthday is not just a birthday it's another year a life you get to spend together and embrace each other's presence. Best part? You don't have to provide anything. As part of the ANE experience, I provide all props, backdrops and cake! All you have to do is dress your child in a coordinating cute outfit and we are set to go! Even clean up is done for you, as each session for a 2 year old and under, ends in a mini splash session!

Just like with any of my other sessions, scheduling ahead of time will be in your best interest. This allows me time to acquire anything I need for your session and give sufficient time to purchase a custom cake from my baker.

After our over the phone consultation, I'll send you an email with all the information we've discussed.
If you'd like to proceed, simply texting or emailing me will start the process and a non-refundable retainer and a signed contract will finalize your booking.
2. Schedule it
Now, here comes the fun part! When booking 4 weeks or more ahead of time, it gives us the opportunity to really dive into the endless possibilities of what you want your child's cake smash session to look like.
Is your vision for their cake smash an elaborate one or do you prefer neutrals and a balloon garland instead? How about combining two ideas into one? No problem! We explore all the options to really make this session something that is special for you. Once we have the theme or color scheme, the baker I partnered with will make a cake that goes perfectly with the cake smash!
3. Planning it
Now that the planning is over, the session will be here before you know it! Hopefully your child gets smashing and really enjoys getting their hands dirty during their session leaving just a sliver of a slice so you can enjoy the cake too!
During the session itself, we will start with family portraits and then move on to the cake smash portion. The best way to end it is with a mini splash session where they get to splash all the cake away! I get to capture some great portraits and you get a clean child-it's a win win overall!
4. Your Session
Approximately two weeks after your session, you'll come back into the studio for your viewing and ordering session. There you'll get to see all your images beautifully edited and ready to be purchased. You can choose between my Mini Collection or my Create Your Own Collection.
My most popular is the Create Your Own Collection because it allows you to keep all the digital images I end up editing.

5. Your Photographs

This does not include any digital images.
Digital images and printed artwork are purchased at the viewing and ordering session approximately two weeks after your session.
The Investment Details
I never had the chance to take processional pictures taken but being able to have my maternity, new born, and family pictures with ANE Photography was truly a blessing and such a heartwarming experience for me and my family! Carmen is very professional and such a great, charismatic, and joyful photographer. Having a toddler trying to take picture is very stressful at times but yet working with them it brought out his little personality! Definitely recommend and will be going with ANE Photography for my future family and kid pictures!

I just want to say Alejandra is super personable and very talented at her craft. You can tell that she is passionate about photography by how patient and attentive to detail she is. My newborn was very fussy during the photoshoot and Alejandra was very understanding and even helped me soothe my newborn. There are not enough words to describe how amazing each and every photo that Alejandra took is. She has a magical way of finding the perfect angle, lighting, and of course expressions. She had so many wonderful props and was able to do so much!! I cried at how wonderful my newborn's photographs came out and I will cherish them forever. I 100% recommend her.
